Electronics Information, Bio Pharmacy, New Materials, Environment Protection, Green Technology and New Energy, Marine Biological Industry.

Modern Agriculture
High-quality Food, Gardening, Farming, Fishing, Modern Foresting and Agricultural Products Deep Processing.

Traditional industry
Household Electrical Appliances, Furniture, Hardware, Textile & Garment, Food & Beverage, Pottery, Building Materials, Tourism, Hotels & Restaurants and Real Estate.

Basic Industry
Energy(coal, power, oil and gas), Transportation and Water Conservancy.

Guangdong Modern Industry 500 projects

In 2010, Guangdong officials drew up a list of the province' s modern industry top 500 companies. The list contains 505 projects, including 103 rising industry projects, 100 advanced manufacturing projects, 101 modern service projects, 101 well-developed traditional projects and 100 modern agriculture projects. The total investment is 1.19 trillion RMB.

The list is made under the guidance of the province's Decision on Speeding Up the Growth Mode Transformation. Guangdong Governor Huang Huahua urged governmental departments to give policy support to these projects for the province's industry transformation and upgrading.

Modern Agriculture
A total of 29.7 billion RMB will be injected into 100 projects to modernize farming, fishing and agricultural product processing. Xu Hongfeng, Director General of Information Unit of Guangdong Industry Development Academy, praised the support for these 100 agricultural projects.
